Arnell's Speech

"On behalf of my siblings and our whole family, I want to say, 'Mom, Dad, congratulations on your 50th wedding anniversary.' It is hard to believe that you are married for this long and still manage to stay together with so much love.

"We are so fortunate and we thank our Lord Jesus that we have parents like the two of you. You worked hard, but not too hard that you had to work overtime and on weekends, because you love to spend the weekends and evenings with us. You are very generous and provide us of not only what we need but also of what we want.

"I would like to tell everyone here how it is like to have parents like my Mom and Dad. I know they love each other and they are dedicated to each other always. Of course, they have been through rough times but they were blessed for being successful on whatever they do, maybe because they are generous and care for others and my Mom is a great problem solver. She can sometimes even make a wrong, right.

"Even when I was a kid, I knew that my parents will never divorce. No matter how grumpy and how much Mom yelled at my Dad, my Dad still remains crazy about Mom. And when my Mom yells at my Dad, after a few minutes, you will see Mom hugging Dad as if nothing happened. At their age now, to see them hugging like teenagers sometimes make me sick.

"And you will know if Mom has something in her mind about you. She will let you know it in a polite way and you will know it.

"My parents have lots of friends. My Mom is a terrific role-model and mentor to the family and to lots of people who know her. She touched the lives of many people and made a lot of difference on their lives. My Dad had always supported my Mom on this. Although my Mom is a very strong person, I know my Dad is her rock.

"My parents have so much in common. They like to party, dance and sing. They like to travel and dress well. They both love to take care and spoil their grandchildren. They are proud to be called Grandma and Grandpa, no pretense.

"Our parents have taught us how to love, how to be giving and kind, and taught us how to share and believe in God.

"We thank you, Mom and Dad, for your unconditional love and giving us better lives. May God bless you both for another fifty years, with a strong, healthy and loving marriage for us to see. Your marriage is a gift to us.

"I hope that someday, I could be like my Mom and Dad.

"Thank you."

Arnell's Toast: "To Mom and Dad, may you have 50 more healthy and happy years, and may your love for each other remains for 50 more years to come."

Brianna: "I would like to be like my Grandma, beautiful and very smart."

Elysia: "I would like to be like my Grandma, gorgeous and nice."

Gabriel: "I would like to be like my Grandpa, cool, athletic and rich."
